Therefore, understanding the distinct nature and specific applications of each metric is not just<\/span> crucial<\/span>, <\/b>but also a cautionary step for accurate sales performance analysis and strategic planning.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently, collaborating closely with our CEO, I dedicated considerable effort to ensuring the entire growth organisation grasped the significance and distinctiveness of these key metrics.<\/span><\/p>\n

Though both ratios are indispensable for evaluating sales performance, they serve unique purposes and are calculated differently. The Win Ratio measures the percentage of sales opportunities that culminate in a win, clearly indicating the team’s success in closing deals. On the other hand, the Conversion Ratio assesses the percentage of opportunities that convert into closed deals within a specific timeframe, offering insights into the overall efficiency of the sales process.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the Win Ratio?<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Win Ratio is the percentage of sales opportunities that result in a closed deal. It measures how many deals your team wins out of the total number of closed deals, both won and lost.<\/span><\/p>\n

Calculation:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Win Ratio = (Number of Won Deals) \/Total Number of Closed Deals (Won + Lost)× 100<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Example:<\/b><\/p>\n

If your team closes 40 deals out of 100 opportunities, with 10 won and 30 lost, the Win Ratio would be:<\/span><\/p>\n

Win Ratio =<\/strong> 10\/40*100=25%<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the Conversion Ratio?<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

If your team has 50 opportunities in Q1 and successfully closes deals worth $500,000 out of a total opportunity value of $2,500,000, the Conversion Ratio would be:<\/span><\/p>\n
