Exotel prides in providing highly reliable communication infrastructure. However, some external factors like fibre cuts, network congestion etc., are beyond our control.
Heartbeat API helps you gain visibility into your operational health of your Exophone by continuously initiating calls across different combinations of Exophones to derive its status. A business can use this information to understand if they need to consider fallback options.

Exotel monitors connectivity health of all ExoPhones continuously in an automated manner.
Exotel pings the customer’s configured URL continuously about the health status of their Exophone.
Customer is notified of the Exophone health in real time, which helps them take follow up actions from their end
Know the health of your Exophone in real time, and set alerts to notify downtimes
Automate response to situations when an Exophone goes down, thereby minimising the customer impact
Evaluate downtime data to ensure uninterrupted availability to the customers

Heartbeat is available for free for a limited time period during its beta phase. Upon the completion of beta phase and launch of heartbeat as general availability, Exotel may choose to charge for the same. An advance notification shall be provided in regard to completion of beta phase and pricing.
Exotel's API documentation and implementation process is extremely simple and easy to follow. There were no hassles in setting it up. We use other cloud telephony platforms as well but Exotel gets a big thumbs-up from us for their ease of use.
